Additionally, the extra weight provided by the wire helps to sink the fly, and therefore get it into the zone faster and keep it there longer! And as an added bonus, the wire provides an integral segmentation for a look that just can’t be beat! No matter what fly you are tying, substitute the WMD into any part of the pattern where you would have normally used a threaded dubbing loop and super charge that puppy!
